The Bangladesh Women’s team reached Sri Lanka to play three ODIs and three T20Is against the hosts with the ODI series being part of the ICC Women’s Championship.

The Tigresses last played back in February in South Africa in the T20 World Cup and this time they go to Sri Lanka hoping to fine tune the side. The Tigresses finished bottom of their group in South Africa without a win.

“The most challenging thing for us in Sri Lanka will be the weather and the conditions and we have built the team with that in mind. We have a team combination with senior players, some experienced stars and upcoming young stars who recently played the U-19 World Cup. We have rested some seniors since we will play quite a few series this year at home and away. Fitness will also play a key role in Sri Lanka. Every match is important for us format wise. We will also play practice matches for each format with the matches being held at Colombo,” selector Monjurul Islam said in a media release.

Bangladesh will play their first practice game in the one-day format against Board President XI on April 27th. The three ODIs are slated to be played on April 29, May 2 and May 4 respectively.

The practice match against Board President’s XI for the T20 formats is slated for May 7 before the three-match T20I series on May 9, 11 and 12 respectively.
