Tigers relax in Chelmsford ahead of start of training

The Bangladesh cricket team spent a rest and recovery day in Chelmsford yesterday after arriving in England on Monday to take part in a three-match ODI series against Ireland, which will be part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.

The cricketers will begin training from today at the Leys School cricket ground in Cambridge ahead of the only practice match, scheduled for May 5.

Tamim Iqbal and Co. are staying in Chelmsford, which is more than an hour’s drive from London.

According to Bangladesh Cricket Board senior media and communication manager Rabeed Imam, all the players have reached safely and are looking forward to beginning training.

The cricketers spent time roaming around the city and relaxing during yesterday’s day off.

The visitors will take on Ireland in the first ODI on May 9 while the second and third match will be held on May 12 and 14 respectively. All the matches will be staged at the County cricket ground in Chelmsford.
