Bangladesh pacers continue to exploit the bounce off the wicket on the second day of the one-off Test against Afghanistan at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium today.
Afghanistan are 76 for four after 17 overs Bangladesh were 382 all out earlier in the day.
With the visitors already on the backfoot in their first innings, left-arm quick Shoriful Islam sent Afghanistan skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi (9) back to the pavilion in his second over after lunch.
Shoriful bagged his second victim with a good-length delivery that bounced sharply to catch Shahidi by surprise. Shahidi, despite attempting a forward defensive stroke and taking one hand off at the last moment, could not avoid getting a leading edge to gully where Mehedi Hasan Miraz jumped up to take a well-judged catch.
So far, Shoriful and Ebadot Hossain had a share of the spoils.
