Batter Shathi Rani was rewarded for her promising performance in the WDPL as she was included in the 16-member squad for the upcoming T20I series against India.
All-rounder Salma Khatun also returned to the team along with Marufa Akter and Dilara Akter.
Shathi’s Rupali Bank Krira Parishad won the WPDL with the opener scoring 254 runs at an average of 50. 80 and a strike-rate of 151.19 in six innings. She made the Emerging Teams Asia Cup squad following her performances as well.
Meanwhile, Fargana Hoque, Lata Mondol, Jahanara Alam and Fariha Trisna were excluded despite featuring in the recent Sri Lanka series. Both Jahanara and Rumana had been left out of the preliminary squad as well.
The T20I series will begin on July 9 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Fargana Hoque, Lata Mondol, Sharmin Akter and Fariha Trisna were named as Stand-by players.
