Three Bangladesh cricketers Shakib Al Hasan, Liton Das and Afif Hossain have registered in the players draft of the fourth edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL).
The tournament is scheduled to begin on July 30. The Bangladesh trio were listed in the players’ draft and the deadline for more players to put their names forward is till May 15. The draft of the LPL is scheduled to be on June 4.
Each team can include six foreign cricketers in the squad. However, if picked, Shakib, Liton and Afif may have availability issues for the entirety of the tournament due to their national commitment.
Bangladesh will host Afghanistan in June when the visitors will play two Tests along with three ODIs and as many T20Is.
Apart from the trio, the likes of Matthew Wade, Shaun Marsh, Usman Khawaja, Lungi Ngidi, Imran Tahir, Naseem Shah, Wahab Riaz, Mitchell Santner, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo were among the other big names included in the players draft of the LPL.
