Bangladesh U-19 cricket team suffered a comprehensive 10-wicket defeat against their Pakistan counterparts in the final day of the lone four-day match at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Wednesday.
Although the Bangladesh skipper, Sharear Sakib, smashed a century to help his side avoid an innings defeat, the hosts could only add a further 30 runs after his dismissal and were bundled out on 292 in 125.1 overs.
Apart from Sakib, batting at number four, who followed up his 48 in the first innings with a 235-ball 106, opener Ashikur Rahman scored 79 runs as the batting department remained the biggest concern for the young Tigers.

Ali Asfand bagged a four-fer while Arafat Ahmed Minhas picked three wickets.
Presented with a target of only 22 runs, the visitors did not have to break a sweat as they wrapped up the victory inside the seventh over.

Throughout the game, Bangladesh were destined to be on the backfoot once they lost five wickets for 21 on day one after being sent in to bat. In reply to a meagre 149, Pakistan further stamped their authority by posting 420.
Up next, the two sides will clash in a five-match youth ODI series beginning from May 6 at the same venue.
