“There is no truth to the fact that I have sent a letter to resign to the Bangladesh Cricket Board [BCB],” Bangladesh national cricket team coach, Russell Domingo, clarified his position after news of the South African’s resignation had recently circulated in parts of the media.
“Just to confirm, I’ve not resigned from the Bangladesh Cricket Board,” Domingo told The Daily Star over voice message earlier today.

“My contract expires November 2023, and I’m committed to the board until then,” he continued.
After hiring Sridharan Sriram as the Tigers’ Technical Consultant, the BCB chose to sideline Domingo for the Asia Cup and opted to proceed in the mega tournament without a head coach. This meant the South African would not be part of the national set-up anytime soon since the T20 World Cup will commence right after the Asia Cup.
“I will resume my One-Day and Test duties in December, as discussed in the press conference,” Domingo concluded.
