An all-round performance by Samiun Ratul helped the Prime Bank-BCB Combined School Under-16 team to register an innings and 174-run win over the Mumbai Under-16 team in their first three-day match at the Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana Ground on Sunday.
After opting to bat first, Mumbai got bundled out for 190 in their first innings as Md Sobuj, Ratul and Azizul Tamim picked up two wickets each for the visitors.
Bangladesh in reply, declared the innings on 446 for six, courtesy of centuries from Ratul and Debashish Sarkar as Prime Bank managed a significant first innings lead of 256 runs.
Mumbai’s second innings went south from the onset and they were eventually bundled out for just 82 runs.
Shamim Imtiaz picked up four wickets, while Ratul bagged three for Prime Bank.
The visitors will play the second three-day match of the tour on May 3 at the same ground.
