The Bangladesh Cricket Board named the Bangladesh A squad today for the four-day Tests against West Indies with the likes of Afif Hossain, Zakir Hasan and Rejaur Rahman getting the nod. Afif will lead the side against touring West Indies A as the captain.
The two unofficial Tests are slated to be played from May 16 and May 23 respectively at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet.
Along with Afif, his Abahani Limited teammate Mohammad Naim, out of the national team setup, has been included. Test opener Mahmudul Hasan, who found himself out of the national setup too recently has been included along with spinners Naeem Hasan, Tanvir Islam and Rishad Hossain.
Apart from Raja, pacers Mushfique Hasan and Ripon Mondol, both of whom impressed in NCL and other domestic tournaments recently. Tanzim Hasan Sakib, who played the last U-19 World Cup for Bangladesh is another pacer included in the side.
