Afghanistan pacers have made use of the morning session as they have managed to take three quick wickets within the first five overs of play to leave Bangladesh eight down for 375 in the first session of the sescond day of the only Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
Bangladesh batters Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehedi Hasan Miraz missed out on their fifties as they dismissed for 47 and 48 respectively and tailender Taijul failed to negotiate a short one from pacer Nijat Masood.
Miraz was the first one to go. The right-handed batter spooned a full-length delivery outside off-stump to backward-point off the bowling off pacer Yamin Ahmadzai.
Pacer Nijat Masood managed to get the the better of Mushfiqur by getting a back-of-a-length delivery to rise sharply off the wicket. This took Mushfiqur by surprise and the batter failed to adjust and could only fend at it as it took edge off the shoulder of the bat to second slip.
Taijul popped a short one straight to short-leg in the same over.
