Bumrah, Iyer, Rahul return as India announce Asia Cup squad

Pacer Jasprit Bumrah and batters KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer have made it into the 17-member squad of India for the upcoming Asia Cup later this month. 

Both Iyer and Rahul recovered from thigh and back injuries, respectively, to make it into the squad. Meanwhile, Bumrah, who led a second-string India team to a T20I series victory against Ireland in his first international series in 11 months with a 33-run victory in the second T20I yesterday, has also returned to the squad. The 29-year-old quick last played an ODI in July last year. 

India also included uncapped Tilak Verma, a left-handed batter, in the squad. 

India squad: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Prasidh Krishna.
