The challenge provoked the Los Blancos players and they surrounded the Dutchman which cause a huge melee involving both sets of players on the pitch.
The referee got involved and showed a yellow card to De Jong. After the challenge, Militao was back on his feet and played the remaining game.
Real fans were unhappy with De Jong and accused him of intentionally trying to injure Miliato in the pre-season.
The game on the other hand though was fairly one-sided as the Catalan club thrashed Real by 3-0.
Ousmane Dembele opened the scoring after 15 minutes with a screamer, and late strikes from Fermin Lopez and Ferran Torres gave Barca the win.
