Bangladesh are in complete control against Afghanistan on the second day of the lone Test in Mirpur today.

Still needing 39 to avoid follow on, the visitors are 144 for eight after 36 overs in their first innings at Tea.

Four wickets in the span of 24 runs, and five in total fell in the second session of the day after the first session yielded seven wickets.

At 128 for six, number eight batter Amir Hamza (6) was undone by a sharp bouncer from Ebadot and Mominul Haque at short leg brilliantly dived to his left to grab a one-handed catch. Ebadot picked up his fourth wicket while fellow quick Shoriful Islam grabbed two scalps earlier.

Yamin Ahmadzai came and went as Taijul Islam picked his first wicket in the match with a flighter that led to a caught-behind dismissal.
