Bangladesh pacer Shoriful Islam removed Ireland opener Paul Stirling early in the fourth over to give the Tigers their first breakthrough after the hosts scored 22 in the first ODI of the three-match series in Chelmsford, England on Tuesday.
Stirling, in his natural approach, came out aggressive as he hit two fours and a six for his 10-ball 15 but he struck a short and wide one from Shoriful to backward-point where an able Mehedi Hasan Miraz grasped onto the sharp chance.
Earlier, Bangladesh managed to post 246 for nine after being put into bat first.
